Generate properly tagged campaign links in seconds. Our most-used tool.

What is a UTM / Campaign URL?

A UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameter is a short tag added to the end of a URL that tells your analytics platform exactly where a visitor came from. Instead of seeing generic "referral" traffic, you see precisely which newsletter, ad, or social post drove the click.

Every tagged link carries up to five parameters — source, medium, campaign, term, and content — and every major analytics tool (GA4, HubSpot, Mixpanel) reads them automatically once they're in your link.

How to use this tool

1Paste the destination URL you want to track.
2Fill in Source (where the traffic comes from) and Medium (the channel type).
3Name the Campaign, and add Term/Content if you're tracking keywords or ad variants.
4Click Generate, then Copy — your tagged link is ready to use anywhere.

Why UTM tracking matters

  • See which specific campaign, not just which channel, actually drives conversions
  • Compare ROI across email, social, and paid channels on equal footing
  • Catch underperforming campaigns early instead of at month-end reporting

FAQ

Will UTM parameters affect my SEO?
No. Search engines ignore UTM parameters for ranking purposes, though it's good practice to canonicalize the base URL.
Do I need all five parameters?
No — Source, Medium, and Campaign are the essentials. Term and Content are optional, useful mainly for paid search and A/B variant tracking.
Does this tool store my URLs?
No. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent to or saved on our servers.
