Social & Content

Length checks and previews for the words you publish — captions, subject lines, and copy.

About social & content

Every publishing surface truncates text at a different point, and the cut-off is almost never where you'd guess. Gmail on mobile clips a subject line around 33 characters; Instagram hides everything after ~125 in the feed; X's limit is the hard cap itself. These tools show you where your copy gets clipped on each platform at once.

They also flag the things that quietly cost you engagement — spam-trigger words in a subject line, a caption's first line burning its hook after the "more" fold, hashtag counts past the point of diminishing returns.

Common questions

Why does the same caption need a different length for X vs Instagram?
Instagram allows 2,200 characters but only shows ~125 before "more"; X caps the whole post at 280. So a caption that reads fine everywhere else often needs a shorter cut written specifically for X.
Does one spam-trigger word send my email to spam?
Almost never on its own. Filters weigh dozens of signals — sender reputation, authentication, engagement history — and wording is just one small input. The scan is a heads-up, not a verdict.
Is the word counter accurate against Microsoft Word?
Very close — both split on whitespace. Edge cases like hyphenated words or standalone numbers can differ by a word or two between any two tools.
