Documents & Images

Merge, split and shrink PDFs and images — all in the browser, nothing uploaded.

About documents & images

Combine PDFs into one file, pull specific pages out into a new one, or compress and resize an image before you send it. Every operation runs locally using the browser's own PDF and canvas APIs — your files never leave your device.

The most common surprise here is an image getting bigger after "compression": that's what happens when you convert a photo to PNG. PNG is lossless and right for screenshots and flat graphics; for photos, JPEG or WebP is the format that actually shrinks the file.

Common questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge, split and compression all happen in your browser tab using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to or stored on a server.
Why did converting my photo to PNG make it larger?
PNG is lossless — it can't discard photographic detail the way JPEG and WebP do, so a photo saved as PNG is often several times bigger. Pick JPEG or WebP for photos; keep PNG for screenshots and logos.
Can these tools open a password-protected PDF?
No — remove the password in your PDF reader first, then run it through the merge or split tool.
