Calculators

Straightforward calculators for school, health and money — metric or imperial, in your browser.

About calculators

GPA on the standard 4.0 scale, BMI from height and weight, and the monthly payment plus lifetime interest on a home loan. Each uses the standard formula for its field and shows the result the moment you've entered enough to compute it.

These are screening and planning aids, not official figures or professional advice — your school's registrar, your doctor, and your lender each apply their own rules on top.

Common questions

Will the GPA match my school's official number exactly?
It uses the 4.0 scale most US institutions use, but some schools weight honours/AP courses differently or round differently. Check your registrar's policy if you need an official figure.
Why is my real mortgage bill higher than the calculator's payment?
The calculator shows principal and interest only. Lenders usually also bundle property tax, homeowners insurance, and sometimes PMI or HOA dues into the monthly payment.
Is BMI a reliable health measure?
It's a quick screen, not a diagnosis. It doesn't tell muscle from fat, so very muscular people often read as "overweight" despite low body fat. Use it as one data point among several.
