Everyday Utilities

Small, fast, no-account tools for the tasks that come up every week.

About everyday utilities

Generate a QR code or a strong password, convert units, format a blob of JSON, pull some random numbers, check your typing speed. None of these needs an account, an install, or a network round-trip — they run entirely in your browser.

Where randomness matters (passwords, random numbers) these tools use the browser's cryptographically secure random source, not the predictable Math.random().

Common questions

Are the passwords and random numbers actually random?
Yes — they use the Web Crypto API's getRandomValues(), the same secure source used to generate things like session tokens, rather than Math.random() which can theoretically be predicted.
Is anything I type or generate sent to a server?
No. Every tool in this category runs its logic in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or stored once you leave the page.
What size is the QR code I download?
320×320px, which prints cleanly up to a few inches across. QR codes scale without quality loss, so resize larger in a design tool if you need a poster-sized one.
